The UN Security Council will hold a closed meeting tomorrow, Wednesday, on developments in the situation in Yemen, in addition to continuing to monitor current developments in the Middle East region and the Palestinian issue.
It is scheduled to speak during the closed meeting about developments in the situation in Yemen, Hans Grundberg, the UN Special Envoy for Yemen, Edam, and His Highness the Director of the Office of Humanitarian Affairs at the United Nations, where the meeting will focus on the efforts of the UN bodies to stabilize the Hodeidah ceasefire agreement in Yemen, in Light of the head of the United Nations mission to stabilize the Yemeni Hodeidah Agreement, General Michael Perry.
In addition, the UN Security Council continues to monitor current developments in the Middle East region and the Palestinian issue, which is the item that the Council decided last week to make a permanent item on its daily agenda.
The Security Council will also continue its discussions at the bilateral level on a draft resolution submitted by the Algerian representative to the Council on the current conflict in the Gaza Strip.
The Security Council is also scheduled to hold a special session tomorrow to discuss the findings and recommendations contained in the report of the Secretary-General of the United Nations on the situation in Afghanistan.
