The Minister of Defense, Lieutenant General Mohsen Muhammad Al-Daari, discussed today, in the capital, Aden, with the head of the Middle East and North Africa Department at the Russian Ministry of Foreign Affairs, Ambassador Alexander Kishnak, and the Chargé d’Affaires of the Russian Embassy, Dr. Yevgeny Kordov, developments in the situation on the national scene in light of the targeting of the Houthi militia. Terrorism on international shipping routes in the Red Sea and Gulf of Aden and its impact on regional and global security.
The Minister of Defense pointed out the continued smuggling of Iranian weapons to the terrorist Houthi militia, and the double international standards in implementing pressure on the legitimate government while being lenient with the Houthi militias in several situations and stations, which encouraged the militias to persist in their violations and crimes until they became a threat to international peace and security. Stressing that supporting the legitimate government and its armed forces on the ground is the closest path and the most effective solution to the security and safety of global navigation and trade routes.
Minister Al-Daari also confirmed that legitimacy seeks sustainable peace in accordance with international resolutions and has made major concessions for that... explaining that the terrorist Houthi militia claims the divine right to power and wealth, and its history is full of breaking covenants and charters, violating local and international laws and customs, and rejecting peace efforts.< /p>
For its part, the Russian delegation expressed its concern about the developments in the situation in the Red Sea, stressing support for diplomatic efforts to achieve peace and end the war in Yemen.
