The Houthi group responded to the decision to classify it as a terrorist group after the decision came into effect this evening, which was recently issued by Washington, as Mohammed Abdel Salam, the group’s spokesman, expressed the group’s position in a statement on his page on the social networking site X.
Abdel Salam stressed that the classification decision reflects part of the hypocrisy of American policy, noting that this measure aims to support Israel and encourage it to continue its terrorist war against the Palestinian people in the Gaza Strip.
Abdel Salam added that his group cannot be in a position that supports the aggression against Gaza, and that the classification decision does not affect its position in supporting and assisting the Palestinian people.
The group stressed its determination to continue supporting the Gaza Strip and to continue working to lift the siege and stop the Israeli aggression, through pressure operations on international navigation in the Red Sea and the Gulf of Aden.
