US Central Command announces the destruction of 7 Houthi drones and cruise missiles

The US Central Command (CENTCOM) recently announced the implementation of defensive air strikes against four drones and anti-ship cruise missiles belonging to the Iran-backed Houthis, in the Red Sea.
Details of the operation according to the US Central Command’s announcement on the X website, republished by Scoop24 News:-
- On February 22, 2024 at approximately 5 p.m. (Sanaa time), US Central Command forces launched self-defense strikes against:**
- Four Houthi drones supported by Iran.
- Two mobile anti-ship missiles (ASCM) were prepared to be launched from Houthi-controlled areas in Yemen towards the Red Sea.
- On February 23, between 3:30 and 5 a.m., US Central Command forces shot down three Houthi attack drones in one direction near several commercial ships operating in the Red Sea. There was no damage to any ships.
