The King Salman Humanitarian Aid and Relief Center “Masam” project to clear Yemeni lands of mines during the third week of this February recovered 727 mines in various regions of Yemen, including 6 anti-personnel mines, 134 anti-tank mines, and 587 unexploded ordnance.
The “Masam” team was able to remove 154 unexploded ordnance in Aden Governorate, and one anti-personnel mine in Hajer District in Al Dhalea Governorate.
In Hodeidah Governorate, the team was able to remove two unexploded ordnances in Al-Khawkhah District, one anti-tank mine and 3 unexploded ordnances in Hays District, while in Ma’rib Governorate they removed 130 anti-tank mines and 400 unexploded ordnances, and in Shabwa Governorate a team removed “ Masam", one anti-personnel mine in Bayhan District, and 3 anti-tank mines and 9 unexploded ordnance in Usaylan District.
In Taiz Governorate, the “Masam” team was able to remove 7 unexploded ordnances in Bab al-Mandab District, 11 unexploded ordnances in Al-Mukha District, one unexploded ordnance in Sabr District, and 4 anti-personnel mines in Dhubab District.
