The Houthi group, which is listed as a terrorist group, said that it carried out a targeting operation against an Israeli ship, "MSC SKY", in the Arabian Sea, with a number of naval missiles, announcing that it had been hit.
The group said that it targeted, with missiles and drones, a number of enemy American warships in the Red Sea, according to a statement by the militia’s military spokesman, Yahya Saree.
Earlier, the British Maritime Security Agency "Ambry" had reported that an attack targeted a cargo ship flying the Liberian flag off the coast of Yemen, noting that it was listed as "belonging to Israel."
Embry explained that the targeting occurred “about 91 nautical miles southeast of Aden in Yemen,” adding that “according to what was reported, the ship was hit and sent a distress signal.”
The British agency added that “it was not confirmed whether the ship was directly affected or was damaged by nearby explosions,” noting that the ship “was on its way from Singapore to Djibouti.”
Embry noted that the ship was listed “as being managed by the Israeli company ZIM Shipping Services,” but added at the same time that “this may have been an old listing, as the ship was not listed in other sources.”
