On Thursday, the US Treasury Department announced sanctions on five entities and two individuals involved in a network that purchases sensitive parts for Iran's drone program.
The ministry said, in a statement, that Highmark sold engines worth more than one hundred thousand dollars to the Houthis, and these engines are used to make suicide drones.
She added that Peshkam Electronic Safa, an Iranian company, purchased thousands of servo motors from Highmark, which are sensitive parts used in controlling drones.
It indicated that two people working for the Pishkam company, Hamid Reza Janghorbani and Foruzand Farzan, were also subjected to sanctions.
The United States also targeted two Turkish companies, Rail Tours and ASAF, because they helped Bescam in dealing with Highmark.
The sanctions include Highmark, a Chinese company specialized in supplying engines for drones, which supplied the Houthi militia in Yemen with sensitive engines used in making these drones.
These sanctions lead to the freezing of all properties belonging to the targeted parties in the United States, and the prohibition of dealing with them by any American parties.
The security belt in the capital, Aden, announced last week the arrest of 3 Shas cars loaded with large quantities of engines used by the Houthi militia to manufacture drones.
