The United Nations High Commissioner for Refugees (UNHCR) said on Saturday that “the crisis in Yemen is one of the largest humanitarian crises in the world.”
This came in a post on the account of the United Nations via the X platform.
The Commission added that “the crisis in Yemen is one of the largest humanitarian crises in the world, with 4.5 million internally displaced people, and 18.2 million people in need of assistance.”
She stressed that “about 70,000 refugees and asylum seekers are hosted by the country.”
