Major General Aidaroos Al-Zubaidi, Vice Chairman of the Leadership Council and President of the Southern Transitional Council, called for the seizure and arrest of any people working for the Houthi group in the liberated southern governorates.
This call came during an expanded meeting of a number of military leaders affiliated with the Transitional Council and other leaders in the Giants Brigades and the National Shield Forces.
Al-Zubaidi stressed the importance of controlling “researchers” and not being lenient with them, noting that history bears witness to countries being lost due to spies and traitors from within.
He pointed out that this meeting comes in the context of the importance of securing the present and future of the South, defending its lands, and protecting its security and stability.
He stressed by saying, “Eliminate the spy and the researcher, even if he is from your family, and each one starts from his surroundings,” pointing out that the Houthi group brainwashes society, citing the 2015 war as evidence. The Houthi group called the southerners ISIS, which is the same method that the Sana’a regime took in its invasion of the south in 1994. When he described the southerners who opposed him as communists.
Al-Zubaidi concluded by calling for strengthening the values of discipline, vigilance, and full readiness to deal with all challenges firmly.
