Local sources in Amran Governorate, north of Sana'a, reported on Wednesday that an engineer working in a cement factory had died due to inhaling toxic chemicals while performing his work inside the factory, while the workers held the Al-Hawiyah factory management responsible.
The sources reported that engineer Moaz Abdel Rahim Hassan Afia, who worked as part of the electrical station management team at the factory, died on Wednesday after inhaling toxic chemical substances.
Workers at the factory accused the terrorist Houthi militia that runs the factory of not providing safety procedures for the engineer and factory workers, pointing to “the lack of safety instructions from Industrial Security, which indicates that the place where he was working was dangerous.”
This comes as residents of the "Hajar" area, within which the factory is located, continue to denounce the position of the Houthi factory management, which refuses to find a solution to the fumes emanating from it, which cause them many diseases, as a result of its reliance in operating the factory on coal.
