Yemeni political analyst, Akram Al-Hajj, said on Thursday, “There are many factors and changes, whether political or military, that helped the American coalition raids fail to stop attacks by a Houthi group in the Red Sea.”
In his interview with the Russian “Sputnik” agency, he added: “The failure of the American coalition raids to stop Ansar Allah’s attacks on ships in the Red Sea so far is due to several reasons, including the military capabilities that Ansar Allah demonstrated in Recently, whether in the naval or air forces, this was confirmed by the media statements of its political and military leadership, which spoke of the entry of high-quality weapons into the battle to support the Palestinians in Gaza.
Al-Hajj continued: “In addition to the above, the Houthis have proven their ability to use innovative tactics and advanced weapons, making it difficult for the American coalition to confront them, and the geography and maritime region (the Red and Arabian Seas), as a wide and complex region, made it a great difficulty for the coalition.” To secure all water routes and protect ships from attacks in that ruling environment controlled by the Yemeni “Ansar Allah” group with all remarkable military skill.
The political analyst pointed out that “the method and international and regional response in forming the American coalition in the Red Sea and the prevailing conditions in the region were an additional factor in this failure, as there was an absence of cooperation, coordination and regional support among the forces participating in the (Guardian of Prosperity) coalition, in addition to the lack of Strong international military cooperation, especially since America wanted to push countries into this alliance that does not serve their interests,” noting that “the factors of Ansar Allah’s continued operations in support of Gaza formed the group’s popular incubator in the Yemeni and Arab streets.”
Al-Hajj stressed that “the failure of the American coalition raids to stop the Houthi attacks on ships in the Red Sea came as a result of the tactical challenges, military capabilities, geographical location, lack of regional and international cooperation, and political and military changes in the region. These factors together stood in the way of the American coalition aiming to neutralize... The strength of the Yemeni Houthi group in military, naval and air dominance in the Red and Arab Bahrain.
The political analyst ruled out that “there would be an American negotiation or bargain that could be accepted by Ansar Allah, which classifies America as the “Great Satan,” despite Washington’s attempts to communicate with the group in Sanaa, but the group categorically refused to communicate. According to Sana’a media statements, Sana’a classifies America as a terrorist and violator of international laws, and the group accuses it of killing children in Yemen and Gaza, and denounces the unlimited support it provides to the Israeli occupation entity,” according to his statement.
