Prime Minister Dr. Ahmed Awad bin Mubarak, today, Sunday, discussed with the US Ambassador to Yemen, Stephen Fagin, the latest developments at the local level and developments in the region, and the international community’s support for the government’s efforts to confront economic challenges and mitigate the severity of the humanitarian crisis in Yemen.
The meeting, held via video communication technology, touched on the government’s efforts to provide services to citizens and its vision for confronting economic challenges and alleviating the human suffering caused by the terrorist Houthi militia, and escalating its economic war to deepen the human suffering of the Yemeni people.
The Prime Minister referred to the course of economic and financial reforms, and government measures to contain the catastrophic humanitarian repercussions of the Houthi terrorist attacks on oil installations and its economic war against the Yemeni people, pointing out that the government is working with exceptional effort and closely with the Presidential Leadership Council to meet basic needs and services and alleviate the suffering of citizens. .
For his part, the American ambassador renewed his country’s support for the Presidential Leadership Council and the Yemeni government in dealing with the existing challenges, stressing support for the government’s plans to improve conditions, provide services, and combat corruption.
