Hadhramaut Governorate received, on Sunday, a medical grant provided by the government of the People’s Republic of China, in conjunction with meetings held by the Acting Chinese Ambassador to Yemen, Shao Zheng, with senior leaders of the state and local authorities, during which they discussed strengthening economic partnership, cooperation and cultural exchange.
p>The Chinese medical grant, which was received by the Secretary-General of the Local Council in Hadhramaut, Saleh Al-Omqi, the Deputy Minister of Public Health and Population, Dr. Abdullah Dahhan, and the Undersecretary of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs for Political Affairs, Ambassador Mansour Bajash, included medical equipment and supplies, quality equipment, and ambulances, and comes in the context of the distinguished bilateral relations between Our country and the People's Republic of China.
Dr. Dahhan praised the quality of medical equipment and devices that will be distributed to sites of need to contribute to improving health services to alleviate the suffering of patients.
While the Undersecretary of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs stressed the depth of the deep-rooted relations with friendly China through its evident fingerprints in the form of vital projects in various governorates and its firm and supportive positions for legitimacy, pointing to the continued development of these relations and pushing them towards greater cooperation and partnership.
In another meeting, the local authority in Hadramaut discussed with the Chinese embassy aspects of enhancing cooperation and partnership in various sectors.
The meeting touched on accelerating the return of Chinese medical delegations, coordinating partnerships in the health sectors, technical education, vocational training, investment aspects, granting facilities to Hadrami businessmen, and qualifying intermediate cadres, in addition to cooperation in the roads and education sectors, and discussing the possibility of intervention in the service sectors.
p>The Secretary General of the Local Council looked forward to more cooperation between the two sides, stressing the keenness of the local authority leadership to strengthen partnership and cooperation with friends in the People’s Republic of China in various sectors.
The Acting Chinese Ambassador also stressed the keenness to strengthen relations, provide better opportunities and facilities to businessmen from Hadhramaut, and implement partnerships in various sectors, as an extension of the bridges of cooperation between the two friendly countries.
The meeting was attended by the Governor’s Undersecretary for Technical Affairs, Engineer Amin Barzeq, and Dr. Ahmed Basrih, for Financial and Administrative Affairs.
