Major General Ahmed Saeed bin Brik, Vice President of the Southern Transitional Council, said that the operation to liberate Mukalla and the Hadhramaut coast constituted a starting point for combating pests alien to our civil society.
Major General Bin Brik wrote on the occasion of the eighth anniversary of the liberation of the Hadhramaut coast from the forces of terrorism and misguidance and said:
"Eight full years have passed since our valiant Hadrami forces, with the help of our brothers in the United Arab Emirates and the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia, were able to liberate Al-Mukalla and the Hadramaut coast, during which the Hadrami elite forces demonstrated remarkable successes, by pursuing the remnants of the terrorist forces of ISIS and Al-Qaeda, and rooting Harmony between it and the segments of Hadrami society, and the establishment of security in Mukalla and the Hadhramaut coast, until it became a model from which the rest of the southern regions must learn.
The operation to liberate Mukalla and the Hadhramaut coast on April 24, 2016 AD was a starting point for combating alien pests in our civil society seeking stability and development.
Congratulations to our people in Hadramaut in particular and the south in general, with this heroic Hadrami elite, and congratulations to us and to you for the victories that have been achieved and that will be achieved in the coming days.
We do not forget what our valiant armed forces have done and are doing in pursuing the remnants and fragments of terrorism in Abyan Governorate and wherever they are found, and we salute them for their legendary steadfastness, despite the scarcity of available capabilities, in fighting terrorist organizations.
