The Houthi militia announced the implementation of a military operation against American and Israeli ships in the Gulf of Aden and the Indian Ocean.
The military spokesman for the Houthis, Yahya Saree, said that his group targeted two American ships, one of them a warship, in the Gulf of Aden with a number of suitable naval missiles and drones.
He added that an Israeli ship in the Indian Ocean was targeted by a number of drones.
He reaffirmed his group's continuation in preventing the crossing of Israeli ships or those heading to the occupied Palestinian ports in the Red and Arab Bahrain.
Earlier, the British maritime security company Ambrey confirmed on Wednesday that it is aware of an incident occurring southwest of the city of Aden in southern Yemen.
Media reported from local sources at the same time that the Houthi militia fired a ballistic missile towards the sea, from Al-Hamza camp in Ibb Governorate, central Yemen.
Houthi militias have been launching attacks on the Red Sea for months, obstructing the movement of commercial ships crossing through the Bab al-Mandab Strait and the Gulf of Aden.
