The Yemeni military and strategic expert, Brigadier General Thabet Hussein, ruled out that “America would undertake a ground entry into Yemeni territory, because this matter is not compatible with Washington’s military strategy.”
Hussein added, in his interview with the Russian agency “Sputnik”: “I do not think that the Americans are preparing for a large-scale ground attack towards the areas controlled by the Yemeni Ansar Allah group, for several reasons, including that the United States has a strategy in dealing with conflicts, especially in Yemen".
Hussein pointed out that “the strategy followed by Washington depends and is based on the rule of control and pressure, and prolonging these conflicts to weaken the parties participating in them, until they reach a situation in which those parties accept settlements and deals that meet America’s interests first, and then the interests of its allies.” ".
With regard to the American and British air operations, and whether they can expand their operations and air sorties against the targets and interests of the Yemeni “Ansar Allah” group in the governorates they control, the military expert says: “In terms of air operations, I believe that America will continue whenever possible.” That is necessary.”
The United Kingdom Maritime Trade Operations (UKMTO) of the British Royal Navy announced that it had received information about an attack that occurred 54 nautical miles northwest of the Yemeni port of Mokha.
