The Saudi Ambassador to Yemen, Mohammed bin Saeed Al Jaber, met today, Wednesday, April 30, 2024, with the Head of the European Union Delegation to Yemen, Hans Thomas Bank, and the ambassadors of the European Union countries to the Kingdom and Yemen, at the headquarters of the European Union Delegation in Brussels.< /p>
During the meeting, developments in the Yemeni crisis were discussed, including the humanitarian, economic and political conditions in the country. Ambassador Al Jaber also reviewed the political, humanitarian, economic and development efforts of the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia in Yemen, and its support for the efforts of the UN Special Envoy for Yemen, to reach a comprehensive political solution to the Yemeni crisis.
Ambassador Al Jaber stressed the importance of international cooperation to resolve the Yemeni crisis, stressing the need to support the international efforts made in this regard. He also called on the international community to increase its support for the Yemeni people to alleviate their humanitarian suffering.
Ambassador Al Jaber expressed the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia’s full support for the efforts of the UN Special Envoy for Yemen to reach a comprehensive political solution to the Yemeni crisis. He also stressed the Kingdom's commitment to the peace initiative it put forward, which constitutes a road map for achieving peace and stability in Yemen.
During the meeting, the ambassadors of the European Union countries stressed their support for the efforts of the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia in Yemen, and their commitment to working with the international community to resolve the Yemeni crisis. They also expressed their appreciation for the humanitarian efforts made by the Kingdom to help the Yemeni people.
