The Minister of Defense, Lieutenant General Mohsen Al-Daari, held today, Saturday, an expanded meeting with the leadership of the Al-Ghaydah axis and the military leadership in Al-Mahra Governorate.

The Minister of Defense conveyed to those present the greetings of the political leadership, represented by the Chairman of the Presidential Leadership Council, Dr. Rashad Al-Alimi.

He heard from the commander of the Ghaydah axis, Major General Mohsen Marsa, and the unit commanders a detailed explanation about the conditions of the Ghaydah axis and the military units stationed in Al-Mahra Governorate, their level of readiness, and the efforts made to train and qualify their members, stressing the redoubling of efforts to raise the level of their capabilities and efficiency.

The Minister of Defense directed the Al-Ghaydah Axis and the military units to provide assistance to the local authority and its relevant offices and to participate in rescue efforts and assist those affected by the rains resulting from the depression.

Lieutenant General Al-Daari praised the level of coordination and integration between the various military and security units in Al-Mahra Governorate to maintain security and stability and maintain tranquility in the governorate.

The Minister of Defense appreciated the role of the military and security units in Al-Mahra and in their ports in particular in combating smuggling, stressing more vigilance to combat weapons and drug smuggling in which the terrorist Houthi militia is active.
