Professor Ibrahim Al-Bakri, the father of the child Haneen Al-Bakri, who was killed by Hussein Harhara on the night of last Eid Al-Adha in the capital, Aden, confirmed his rejection of any mediation after the Supreme Court of the Republic upheld the death sentence as punishment for the killer.
Al-Bakri said: “God is great, the truth has emerged. We want to apply God’s law, retaliation and its implementation. I will not accept any mediation. This is a matter of public opinion.”
Al-Bakri expressed his thanks and appreciation to everyone who stood with him and supported him in this case, stressing his continued demand for just retribution for his daughter.
The Supreme Court of the Republic in the capital, Aden, had approved the ruling issued by the Aden Court of Appeal upholding the ruling of the Mansoura Court ruling the death penalty as retribution for the killer of the child, Hanin al-Bakri.
The child Haneen Al-Bakri was brutally killed by the perpetrator, Hussein Harhara, which sparked a state of anger and resentment among Yemeni society.
