Dr. Rashad Mohammed Al-Alimi, Chairman of the Presidential Leadership Council, arrived with Council members Abdul Rahman Al-Muharami and Othman Majali to the Bahraini capital, Manama, to participate in the 33rd Ordinary Arab Summit, which begins tomorrow, Thursday.
The Chairman of the Presidential Leadership Council, the two members of the Council and the accompanying delegation were received by the representative of the King of Bahrain for Humanitarian Work and Youth Affairs, the National Security Advisor, the Secretary-General of the Supreme Defense Council Sheikh Nasser bin Hamad bin Isa Al Khalifa, the Governor of Muharraq Governorate, Salman Al Mannai, and the Undersecretary The Bahraini Ministry of Foreign Affairs for Political Affairs, Sheikh Abdullah bin Ahmed bin Abdullah Al Khalifa, the Assistant Secretary-General and Head of the Media and Communication Sector of the League of Arab States, Ahmed Rashid Khattabi, and the Ambassador of Yemen to the Kingdom of Bahrain, Dr. Ali Al-Ahmadi.
In a statement to the Yemeni News Agency (Saba), the Chairman of the Presidential Leadership Council, on behalf of himself and the members of the Council, expressed his great appreciation to the brothers in the Kingdom of Bahrain, led by his brother, His Majesty King Hamad bin Isa Al Khalifa, for the good reception and good preparation for the work of the Arab Summit being held in Extremely complex political and security circumstances, foremost of which is the continuation of the brutal Israeli aggression against the Palestinian people, and the escalation of the threat of terrorist militias and their threats to regional and international security and peace.
He also expressed his confidence that this summit will lead to important decisions for the benefit of the Arab peoples and countries, unifying ranks and enhancing solidarity in facing common challenges.
The agenda of the Arab summit, which was approved by the Arab foreign ministers yesterday, Tuesday, includes a number of items, the most prominent of which is the Palestinian issue, strengthening joint Arab action, and developments in the situation in Yemen, Syria, Sudan, and Libya.
