Dr. Rashad Mohammed Al-Alimi, Chairman of the Presidential Leadership Council, received today, Monday, the Ambassador of the United Arab Emirates to Yemen, Mohammed Hamad Al-Zaabi.
The meeting touched on bilateral relations between the two countries and the two brotherly peoples, and the promising prospects for strengthening them in various fields.
The Chairman of the Presidential Leadership Council briefed the Emirati ambassador on the latest developments in the Yemeni situation and the support required to strengthen the economic and financial situation, improve basic services, and advance the path of comprehensive reforms in the country.
He praised the distinguished bilateral relations between the two brotherly countries, and the role of the United Arab Emirates within the coalition to support legitimacy led by the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia, in order to restore the institutions of the Yemeni state, security, peace, and development.
Alimi also praised the UAE’s humanitarian interventions to alleviate the suffering of the Yemeni people, including its development programs in the field of renewable energy, the first of which projects to complete work with its generating capacity in the capital, Aden, next month.
The meeting was attended by the Director of the Office of the Presidency of the Republic, Dr. Yahya Al-Shuaibi.
