The Yemeni Embassy in the State of Kuwait announced that flights between the two countries will resume early next week.
The embassy said on the “X” platform today, Sunday: “The first direct flight between Yemen and Kuwait will be launched on Saturday, June 15.”
She added that Yemen Airways will operate, on Saturday, the first direct flight via the “Aden-Kuwait-Aden” line, after a hiatus that lasted for years.
The embassy indicated, late last February, that it was coordinating between the carrier airlines in Yemen and Kuwait, and preparing the flight schedule to be operated, before announcing the resumption of direct flights between the two countries.
A statement from the embassy at the time explained that “direct flights between the two countries will soon be resumed, with the aim of facilitating the movement of Yemeni citizens and alleviating their suffering.”
