The Houthi group took control of the "Modern Pharmaceutical Company" and "International Pharmaceutical Manufacturing Company" companies in Sana'a, after a campaign of arrests that targeted several employees working in embassies, international and Yemeni organizations, and United Nations agencies, including the Office of the United Nations Envoy.
Local news sites said that Houthi gunmen invaded the headquarters of the "Modern Pharmaceutical Company" and the "International Pharmaceutical Manufacturing Company" and kidnapped employees and interrogated them.
She indicated that four of the directors of these two companies were kidnapped in Sanaa, including a woman, the director of the purchasing department, Fatima Aishan.
This came after a campaign of arrests in recent days targeting employees of the two companies, and the interrogation of their workers by the Houthis, in preparation for placing the two companies under the control of the group’s judicial guard, Saleh Dabish.
This coincided with an arrest campaign targeting employees of United Nations organizations and other global international organizations operating in areas under its control.
