Today, Tuesday, the eighth session of the Yemeni-Egyptian strategic dialogue was opened in the Egyptian capital, Cairo, which will last for two days, headed by the Foreign Ministers of the two countries, Dr. Shaye’ al-Zindani and Sameh Shukri.
The session of senior officials, which was held under the chairmanship of the Ambassador of Yemen to the Arab Republic of Egypt, Khaled Bahah, and the Egyptian Assistant Foreign Minister for Arab Affairs, Ambassador Mohamed Al-Badri, discussed the strategic issues of concern to the two countries, most notably the file of bilateral relations and ways to advance and strengthen them, and the security of the Red Sea in light of the continued... Houthi threats to maritime traffic, the situation in the Gaza Strip, and the peace file in Yemen.
The ministerial session is scheduled to be held tomorrow, Wednesday, under the chairmanship of the Minister of Foreign Affairs and Expatriate Affairs, Dr. Shaye’a Al-Zindani, and the Egyptian Minister of Foreign Affairs, Sameh Shoukry, to approve the outcomes of the current session of the Yemeni-Egyptian strategic dialogue, which came after a long period of interruption as a result of the conditions our country experienced. .
It is worth noting that the Yemeni-Egyptian Strategic Dialogue sessions began their first session in the year 1998 and their seventh session was held in the year 2010 before being resumed this year in light of the circumstances the region is experiencing, out of the belief of the leadership of the two countries in the importance of cooperation and coordination on various issues.
