Today, the Southern Transitional Council held an urgent meeting that included military and security leaders, headed by Mr. Ali Al-Kathiri, Acting President of the Council, to discuss the latest developments in the case of the kidnapping of Lieutenant Colonel Ali Ashal Al-Jaadani.
Al-Kathiri listened to a detailed explanation from the leaders present about the security situation in Aden, and the measures taken to maintain stability, and the Director of Aden Security, Major General Mutahar Naji, gave a briefing on the security operation in Al-Mudara, which resulted in the arrest of 12 defendants linked to the kidnapping.< /p>
Al-Kathiri appreciated the efforts of the security and military services, stressed the need to reveal the circumstances of the case and its motives, and stressed the need to inform public opinion of the measures taken, and hold those involved accountable without any exceptions.
He called for coordination of security work between Aden, Abyan and Lahj to pursue the main accused, and stressed the need to submit recommendations to the President of the Transitional Council, Aidaroos Al-Zubaidi, to take the necessary decisions, and stressed that any acts of kidnapping or extrajudicial killing would not be tolerated.
The meeting came out with a set of recommendations and decisions aimed at enhancing security and fighting strife.
Information indicates that there are 12 defendants in detention as part of investigations, by Aden security.
The Transitional Council pledged to continue efforts to uncover the circumstances of the case and hold the perpetrators accountable.
