The European Naval Force in the Red Sea announced today, Sunday, that a Greek frigate intercepted drones that were part of a squadron of drones in the Gulf of Aden.
The force added, via the “X” platform, that the frigate was providing protection for a commercial ship, and that the rest of the drones had left the area, and the ship continued sailing, according to Reuters.
The "Houthis" say that they are targeting ships owned or operated by Israeli companies or transporting goods to or from Israel, in the Red Sea and the Gulf of Aden, in solidarity with the Gaza Strip, which has been witnessing a bloody Israeli war since the seventh of last October.
The United States and Britain are launching air strikes on Houthi sites with the aim of weakening their ability to target commercial ships and threaten international sea lanes.
