The British Maritime Trade Operations Authority announced today, Monday, that it had received a report that a commercial ship had been attacked by three small boats 70 nautical miles southwest of the Yemeni city of Hodeidah.
The authority explained that a small unmanned boat collided with the ship twice and two small manned boats opened fire on it, indicating that the ship and its crew were fine and was heading to the next port of call, after “taking self-protection measures.”
The US Central Command (Centcom) announced the destruction of “3 drones and a boat in the Red Sea region.”
Centcom said on the “X” platform late yesterday, Sunday, “During the past 24 hours, US Central Command forces succeeded in destroying two drones and a drone boat belonging to the Iranian-backed Houthis in the Red Sea region.”
She added, "The boat and drones represented an imminent threat to the United States, coalition forces (Guardian of Prosperity Alliance), and commercial ships in the region."
