Israeli Air Force Commander Tomar Bar considered that the attack launched by his forces on Yemen last Saturday was directed at the entire Middle East, Hezbollah and Iran.
This came in a conversation with the heads of local authorities at the Ramat David air base in northern Israel, according to a statement by the Israeli army.
The army statement quoted Barr as saying: “We are ready for war. The responsibility placed on the Air Force is to fully implement all operational plans. We will act as decisive and decisive as possible in confronting an enemy we know and are aware of, and there will be surprises.”
Barr added: “Who was the title of the attack that targeted the Houthis? It was directed at the entire Middle East, also at Hezbollah and Iran.”
He continued: “In this context, I tell you that throughout the war we have maintained and maintain a capability that allows us, if war breaks out in the north (“Hezbollah” in Lebanon) and with Iran, we are ready for it.”
On Friday, the Houthi group claimed responsibility for a bomb-laden march that targeted Tel Aviv, resulting in the death of an Israeli and the injury of 10, according to Tel Aviv.
In response to the attack, on Saturday, Israeli fighters launched raids on the port of Hodeidah in western Yemen, and its fuel tanks, in addition to a main power station in the same governorate, resulting in 9 deaths and 83 wounded, according to the Houthi group controlling the governorate.
The Houthis use missiles and drones to target Israeli cargo ships or those linked to them in the Red Sea, and targets in Israeli territory.
Since the beginning of this year, a US-led coalition has launched raids that it says target “Houthi sites” in various regions of Yemen, in response to its attacks in the Red Sea, which was met with a response from the group from time to time.
With the intervention of Washington and London and the tension taking an escalating turn last January, the Houthi group announced that it now considered all American and British ships among its military targets.
