The Houthi group denied the existence of any agreement regarding the resumption of the internationally recognized Yemeni government's oil exports, which have been halted for nearly two years, following the group's targeting of the port of Dabbah in Hadramaut.
The group's Saba agency quoted what it called an "official source" in the Houthis' Supreme Economic Committee, saying: "What the mercenaries are promoting about the existence of an agreement that allows them to resume oil exports is baseless and just rumours."
He stressed that allowing the resumption of oil exports is “categorically linked to disbursing the salaries of state employees and retirees’ pensions, in accordance with the decision to prevent the plunder of national wealth, which is still in effect.”
