The United States imposed sanctions on one individual and six companies and imposed a seizure on three ships for their involvement in securing illicit revenues to support the destabilizing activities of the terrorist Houthi militias supported by the Iranian regime.
A statement issued by the US State Department said, “The United States imposed sanctions on the Houthi financier Saeed al-Jamal, who is supported by the Quds Force of the Iranian Revolutionary Guard, and six companies, and banned three of their ships for their involvement in providing illicit revenues to support the Houthis’ destabilizing activities in the region.” .
The statement added, today, Thursday, “Sanctions were also imposed on another company and four of its ships linked to (Hezbollah) official Muhammad Qasim Al-Bazzal and a shipment of Iranian liquefied gas valued at tens of millions of dollars were banned.”
He stressed that the United States of America will continue to use all available tools to confront the Houthi militias and deprive them of revenues to carry out their Iranian-backed attacks on international shipping ships.
The statement indicated that since the Houthis began their attacks on shipping in the Red Sea last year, the United States has imposed sanctions on dozens of entities, individuals, and ships linked to the Al-Jamal network.
The revenues from this network finance the reckless terrorist Houthi militia attacks on vital waterways and strikes on civilian infrastructure, with devastating consequences for the region and the world.
