Four days have passed since Lahj Governorate has been plunged into complete darkness, amid a state of silence that reflects a clear disregard for the suffering of citizens. People have become satisfied with any solutions coming from the government or coalition, but they wonder where the role of the authority is? Why don't you intervene to save the situation, even with a temporary solution?

“Shame on you, people are in a catastrophic situation,” the majority of people repeat, demanding that the governor quickly move to alleviate their suffering, even if that means sending a single “buzz” from the cement factory or from anywhere to turn on the electricity, even for a few hours. 

The conditions in Lahj are deteriorating day by day, and popular tension is escalating due to the absence of basic services and the continuation of crises that do not find any real solutions. Citizens feel that they have been left to face their fate alone, and wonder about the role of officials, led by the governor, in confronting this humanitarian disaster.

“Where are you, Turk? Why are you silent?” is a question asked by every citizen in Lahj, calling on the governor to take urgent action instead of remaining silent, which may further exacerbate popular anger. Silence is not an option, and rapid action has become a necessity to save people from this catastrophic situation that is no longer tolerable.
