Al Hilal Saudi Club reached a verbal agreement with Manchester City regarding the transfer of Joao Cancelo to the Saudi Capital team.
Cancelo spent last season with Barcelona on loan from English City, before returning to the English Premier League champions at the end of his loan.
According to what Fabrizio Romano, a journalist at Sky Sports, who specializes in player and coach transfer news, said through his account on the “X” platform, Al Hilal negotiators have completed an agreement with Manchester City regarding the sale of Cancelo.
He added: “The value of selling the Portuguese player is close to 25 million euros, and the deal was completed verbally, but one step remains.”
Regarding that step, he said: “The matter now depends on Joao Cancelo and his decision. Al Hilal has offered him a deal worth 15 million euros, a net salary per season.”
He concluded: “Cancelo will make his decision soon.”
The 30-year-old Portuguese right-back is under contract with Manchester City until the summer of 2027, and his current market value is 25 million euros.
Cancelo played 42 matches with Barcelona last season in various competitions, and was able to score 4 goals and assist 5 others.
