The press conference and technical meeting for the West Asian Championship, which will be held during the period (2 - 11) of this September, was held at the Crowne Plaza Hotel in the Jordanian capital, Amman, today, in the presence of representatives of the nine participating teams. Team uniforms during matches, as our team is scheduled to play its match against its Omani counterpart, wearing white uniforms for the players and black uniforms for the goalkeepers.
A press conference was also held for the coaches of the participating teams, where the coach of our national junior team, Samer Mohamed Fadl, confirmed that our team has prepared well for the West Asian Championship and is looking forward to defending the title and has the required readiness and will play with the spirit of a team that is looking for victory and only thinks about winning as the champion of two previous editions. Noting that the West Asian Championship is a preparatory stage for participating in the Asian qualifiers scheduled to be held next October.
In turn, the coach of the Omani team, Anwar Al Habsi, expressed his happiness at participating in the tournament within the group that included the Yemeni and Saudi teams. He considered the group difficult, but he hopes to overcome it because it will give the Omani team motivation to compete for the tournament.
He explained that the Omani national team prepared well for this tournament at the local and foreign levels and played a number of test matches.
