The Director General of the Youth and Sports Office in Al-Mahra Governorate, Mr. Muhammad Omar Sweilem, today inspected the damage caused to the facilities of the Fartak Sports Club in the Huswain District as a result of Cyclone Tej, which struck Al-Mahra Governorate late last year, causing major damage to the infrastructure.
The Director General of the Youth Office, accompanied by members of the club’s management, reviewed the major damage to the stadium, the fence and the rest of the club’s facilities and the resulting material losses, expressing the office’s readiness to make all efforts and submit a detailed report to the local authority to address the damage in terms of rehabilitating and maintaining the stadium. The club and the restoration of buildings and facilities damaged by the hurricane.
The President of the Fartak Club, Mr. Fahmi Ali Shamlan, pointed out the importance of the inspection visit of the Director General of the Youth and Sports Office in reviewing the extent of the damage, destruction and losses that affected the club’s facilities as a result of Tropical Storm Tej, appreciating the efforts made by the leadership of the office... and calling for speedy treatment of the damage and maintenance. The football stadium to return to activity again, especially since the club is currently preparing to compete in the third division league.
