Barcelona won the last match against Athletic Bilbao, with an unanswered goal, in the tenth round of La Liga.
According to the Spanish newspaper “Mundo Deportivo”, Barcelona coach Xavi Hernandez refuses to risk any player who is not ready during the El Clásico match.
Barcelona is currently missing Pedri Gonzalez, Robert Lewandowski, Frenkie de Jong and Rafinha due to injury, and the quartet is close to missing the next match.
Pedri has been absent from group training and Barca matches for more than two months, recovering from an injury to his right thigh.
As for Lewandowski, the kick he received in his ankle during the Champions League match against Porto kept him out of action recently.
De Jong suffers from a severe ankle injury, which he suffered in a La Liga match, while Rafinha suffers from muscle problems.
