The Yemeni youth team achieved a well-deserved victory over its Maldivian counterpart with three clean goals in the match that brought them together, today, Friday, in the sixth group of the Asian youth qualifiers.
Adel Abbas opened the scoring in the eighth minute, and Anwar Al-Tariqi scored the second goal in the 35th minute of the first half, while Mohamed Muftah increased the score by scoring the third goal in the 90th minute of the second half of the match.
The Yemeni youth team raised its score to 6 points from two matches, as it won the first match against the East Timor team by three goals to one.
This match comes within the second round of the sixth group of the AFC U-20 Cup qualifiers, and it is a decisive match for the Yemeni team that wants to enhance its chances of qualifying for the finals that will be held in China in 2025.
