The General Federation of Water Sports has approved the organization of the twelfth edition of the Aden Championship for open water swimming for a distance of 3 km, and its competitions will be held at Al-Sawah Port Pier in Al-Tawahi District.
The organization of the championship competitions, which comes as an extension of the previous championships organized by the General Federation of Open Water Water Sports in the capital, Aden, is scheduled for the period between 1-2 November, and will witness the participation of a large number of swimmers.
The organization of the tournament comes within the general federation’s activity plan for the current year 2024, and carries wishes in light of the difficult situation that swimming is experiencing, which does not have any infrastructure that helps raise and develop the technical capabilities of swimming members.
The General Federation has opened registration for those wishing to participate in the tournament competitions, by allocating contact numbers, with registration starting on October 1 and ending three days before the start of the competition.

Al-Khulaifi added; The tournament is an area to demonstrate the federation’s capabilities and its desire to challenge all the conditions it is experiencing, in accordance with the absence of infrastructure, most notably swimming pools, which are absent in the country. This is why we always adhere to the determination to succeed, and we have hope in God that all efforts will be in good coordination to achieve our goal in This tournament that we wanted is special and special.
