Lamin Yamal, the star of Barcelona and the Spanish national team, explained in a brief statement the condition of his injured leg, after he was forced to leave the “La Roja” camp due to a minor blow he suffered during the match against Denmark in the European Nations League last night, Saturday.
Yamal returned to Barcelona due to a muscle injury that is not serious, according to what the Spanish national team confirmed, but it will prevent him from playing against Serbia in Cordoba the day after tomorrow, Tuesday.
Yamal said in a brief statement to reporters at the airport, which was reported by the “Cheringuito” program account on the “X” platform: “I am better now... I am recovering.”
The Spanish Federation comments on Yamal's injury
The Spanish Federation said in a statement: “Lamine Yamal underwent an MRI this morning in Madrid to evaluate the discomfort he experienced after the match against Denmark. The tests did not reveal a serious injury,”
The medical services of the Spanish Football Federation confirm that this is due to stress. “In order to give priority to the player’s health and avoid any risk of injury, and given the closeness of the match against Serbia, it was decided to release him.”
