The Desert Warriors returned with three valuable points away from home, after defeating Togo 1-0 in the fourth round of the qualifiers.

The Algerian national team owes this victory to its defender Ramy Bensebaini, who scored the only goal from a penalty kick in the 18th minute.

With this victory, Algeria secured its qualification to the finals, two rounds before the end of the qualifiers, as it occupies the top spot in Group E with 12 points, 5 points behind second-placed Equatorial Guinea, while the Togolese national team occupies third place with two points, and Liberia is in last place with a point.

Algerian Amine Guiri is the top scorer in the qualifiers so far, with 3 goals, shared equally with Egyptian Mahmoud Trezeguet, while Hossam Aouar and Saeed Benrahma scored two goals each.
