The qualifiers for the arm-wrestling championship “Al-Rast” for the provincial champions were held this morning, which was organized by the General Federation of Physical Strength and Arm-Wrestling, under the patronage of the Minister of Youth and Sports, Nayef Al-Bakri, and the Minister of State, Governor of the Capital, Aden, Ahmed Hamid Lamlas. The tournament, whose organization coincides with our people’s celebrations of the sixty-first anniversary of the glorious October 14 Revolution, witnessed the participation of the champions of the governorates of “Aden, Hadramaut, the Coast, Al-Wadi, Lahj, Taiz, and Al-Dhalea” to compete for a seat in the national team squad participating in the third Arab Championship for Al-Rust, which is from It is scheduled to be hosted by the capital, Aden, in late November of this year.

The participants in the tournament competed in the category of juniors, men, and masters (seniors), and in weight categories (50 kg, 55 kg, 60 kg, 65 kg, 70 kg, 75 kg, 80 kg, 85 kg, 90 kg, 100 kg, 110 kg, and above 110 kg category).

The tournament competitions were launched in the presence of the President of the General Federation of the game, Engineer Arhab Hassan Yassin, and in a wonderful enthusiastic competitive atmosphere, with great public interaction from fans of the sport of racing, and with strong confrontations that resulted in weight bouts and categories allocated to the tournament, where nearly 200 players from various active governorates participated in the competitions. The players from the governorates participating in the fights showed high levels and exciting competition amid public interaction and support and an enthusiastic atmosphere that lit up the tournament’s confrontation hall and resulted in the final coronation of the champions of the categories and weight categories participating in the tournament.
