The South Korean national team rose up in the final minutes of the confrontation with Iraq to achieve a victory with a score of (3-2) in the second group of the Asian qualifiers for the World Cup.
Until the 74th minute, Iraq was tied with the hosts with a goal each, before Korea rose up and scored two goals in the final minutes of the match.
Korea took advantage of poor defensive control to score the first goal in the 41st minute through Oh Se-hun. The brilliant Ayman Hussein scored a wonderful goal from Maqsiya in the 51st minute, bringing the Al-Rafidain Lions to a draw.
The second and third goals for the Koreans came from the left front. A cross reached Oh Jeon-hyo after a defensive confusion, and he shot it with his left foot past Jalal Hassan in the 74th minute.
After a cross from the same side, Lee Jae-sung III scored for the hosts with a wonderful header in the 82nd minute.
Ibrahim Bayes reduced the goal difference and scored the second for Iraq in the 90+5 minute.
South Korea raised its score to 10 points at the top of the group, 3 points ahead of Iraq, second in the standings.
