The Yemeni junior national team continues its daily training in the Omani capital, Muscat, within its external camp in preparation for the Group Nine qualifiers for the 2025 Asian Cup finals. The competitions are expected to begin in Vietnam during the period from 19 to 27 October 2024. The team will play its first match against a national team Myanmar on October 23.
In this regard, the national team’s coach, Captain Samer Fadl, said: “We are working to improve the level of physical fitness and skill of the players, and to focus on the appropriate tactic for each match. We strive to appear honorably and deliver a strong performance in the tournament.” And ensuring the top spot in the group and qualifying for the finals.
For his part, Assistant Coach Captain Ali Al-Nono confirmed, “The training is intense, and the players are responding wonderfully.” We prepare them to implement tactical plans that will help us overcome competitors in the group.”
While the head of the mission, member of the General Union, Samir Al-Khalqi, stressed the importance of the camp, saying: “This camp is a golden opportunity for the national team to prepare perfectly. Logistical and technical support is available to ensure success.”
For his part, the team director, Captain Abdullah Al-Thuraya, added: “We are committed to providing all capabilities to achieve the best results in the group matches, and the morale of the team is high.”
The team is looking forward to qualifying by topping the group and does not want to go into the details of achieving a position among the best teams that are ranked second, in order to continue its journey in the Asian finals... and achieve the desired dream..
The winner of each group qualifies for the finals, in addition to the five best second-placed teams.
