The opening ceremony began with an introduction to the participating teams for the tournament, followed by a speech by the Chairman of the Organizing Committee, Mr. Ihab Farea, who confirmed in his speech the idea of organizing and holding the Aden Championship for Veterans by the administration of the new city of Aden and on its grassy fields. The ceremony also witnessed the presentation of a number of artistic performances and popular dances, the details of which were brilliantly drawn by the Cubs of Aden band, accompanied by the creative artist Ihab Hanash, in addition to exhibition games presented by the artist Muhammad Tika, which received the approval of the audience, accompanied by the launch of fireworks that decorated the city’s sky.< /p>
After the end of the ceremony, a friendly football match took place between the New Aden City team, supported by a group of stars from the beautiful era of Aden sports, against the Al-Shoula team, which held the title in the last edition, through which the two teams presented enjoyable football artistic glimpses, the first half of which ended with the city team advancing. With a goal for nothing, this half also witnessed clear brilliance on the part of the Al-Madina team’s goalkeeper, who saved his goal from scoring goals that were enough to end the match in the first half.
