Headed by Khaled Al-Khulaifi, President of the General Federation of Water Sports, a meeting was held this morning by the organizing committee for the 12th edition of the Aden Championship for 3km open water swimming, during which the arrangements and equipment related to organizing the tournament were discussed and the latest developments were discussed.

The twelfth edition of the Open Championship competitions will begin on November 1 and 2 at the Al-Sawah Pier in Al-Tawahi District in the capital, Aden, with the participation of 100 swimmers representing the capital, Aden, and some governorates, and it is organized by the General Federation in coordination with the International Federation of Water Sports.

At the beginning of the meeting, Al-Khulaifi heard from members of the organizing committee supervising the tournament’s competitions about the progress of work and arrangements related to organizing the tournament, and discussing the most important factors that guarantee the success of the tournament. As was the case in the meeting, the committees for organizing the tournament were formed and the members of the technical committee and the supervisory and arbitration committee were nominated, in addition to To the tournament media committee.

Al-Khulaifi stressed in the meeting the need for additional efforts by the organizing committee and championship committees to show it in an ideal way, adding that the Aden Open Water Swimming Championship is an extension of the previous championships organized by the federation in Aden and aims to continue and expand its scope of practice among young people and contribute to Raising and advancing its level in Aden.

Al-Khulaifi added; The tournament is organized within the general federation’s activity plan for the current year, and it is a space to demonstrate the federation’s capabilities and its desire to challenge all the conditions it is experiencing, in accordance with the absence of infrastructure, most notably swimming pools in Aden, calling on swimmers to register a good participation and attendance and adhere to the rules and laws of the championship.
