Al-Taawoun ended Al-Nasr’s journey early in the Custodian of the Two Holy Mosques Cup competition, after beating them with a clean goal, in the eighth-final of the competition, today, Tuesday.

Walid Al-Ahmad shocked Al-Alamy with a surprise goal in the 71st minute from a powerful header, leading his team to the quarter-finals of the competition.

While Cristiano Ronaldo prevented Al-Nasr from returning the match result after he missed a penalty kick in the sixth minute of stoppage time in the second half.

Al-Nasr qualified for the final round in the last edition before losing the title to Al-Hilal on penalties.

While Al-Taawoun’s progress last season stopped at the quarter-finals when it lost to Al-Hilal by three clean goals.

Al-Taawoun became the sixth qualifier to the quarter-finals, after Al-Raed, Al-Hilal, Al-Shabab, Al-Ittihad, and Al-Qadisiyah.
