The Hassan Abyan team continued its strong presence in the Aden Club Championship for veterans over the age of 50, after defeating the Lahj team with a score of ten goals to four, in the match that was held this afternoon for the second group of competitions organized with support and sponsorship. The New Aden City Project and its competitions will be held coinciding with the national holidays on the city’s grassy fields during the period from the 19th of this October until the 29th of next November 2024.
After this victory, the Hassan Abyan team topped the standings of the second group teams with 6 points after achieving the full score from two matches it played during its journey in the tournament, while the Lahj team suffered the second loss in two matches to finally sit in the group’s standings without points.
The first half of the match was full of fun and excitement and witnessed an abundance of goals by reaching the net on seven occasions, the largest percentage being for the Hassan Abyan team, whose players scored five compared to two goals for the Lahj national team.
The priority goal went to Hassan Abyan through his player Ali Al-Kabbas, so defender Saeed Ramadan increased the score for his team by scoring the second goal, after which the advantage and control continued for Hassan’s team, which imposed its style of play in the coming minutes of the first half and was able to add two goals in a row by scoring Muhammad Rabsan, for the Lahj team to breathe a sigh of relief by scoring the first goal against Hassan, which came from Alawi Muhammad, so Muhammad Rabsan returned and added the fifth goal for Hassan and his third in the match. Minutes before the end, Lahj reduced the difference by scoring the second goal through Alawi Muhammad, so that the first half ended with Hassan’s team leading. Abyan scored five to two goals.
