The Al-Minaa veterans defeated their rival, Shamsan, with a score of five goals to two, in the match that brought together the two teams, this evening, Monday, as part of the competitions of the second edition of the football championship for veteran Aden club players who are over the age of (50 years). It is held with the support and sponsorship of the New Aden City Project, and its competitions are held. Coinciding with the national holidays on the city’s grassy fields during the period from the 19th of this October until the 29th of next November 2024 AD.
The first half: The two teams presented an equal exhibition match in which they shared the advantage, exchanged dangerous counter-attacks on the goals, and jointly missed goals. In the last minutes, the Al-Minaa veterans won a penalty kick, which was successfully executed by player Marwan Qarda in the Shamsan goal net, ending the first half with the team advancing. The port with a goal without a response.
In the second half, the Shamsan veterans tried to remedy their situation and return to the competitive atmosphere by pressing on Al-Minaa’s goal, but they did not succeed in doing so, so Al-Minawi returned to consolidate the result by scoring the second goal through player Nasser Ali Nasser, and with the passage of time, Al-Minaa player Khaled Mubarak added the third goal. For his team, then his colleague Nasser Ali Nasser increased the score by scoring the fourth goal, so the Minawis returned to strengthen their dangerous attacks against Shamsan’s goal and were able to score the fifth goal through the player Ibrahim Awad. The last minutes witnessed a Shamsan uprising, through which they reduced the score by scoring the first goal through Jamil Maqtari and the second by Hamada. The match then ended with Al-Minaa team winning by five goals to two.
With this victory, Al-Minaa team earned its first three points out of two matches it played, while Shamsan’s score froze at one point.
The match was managed by referee Abdul Rahman Mahmoud and monitored technically by Captain Saeed Abdul Karim.
This, tomorrow afternoon, Tuesday afternoon, Al-Tilal and Al-Shouala teams will meet at the summit of the third round, within the framework of the first group competitions of the tournament.
It should be noted that the football championship in its second edition for the Aden Clubs for Veterans participated in ten clubs, divided into two groups, where the first group includes: Al-Tilal, Al-Shorta, Al-Shuala, Shamsan, Al-Mina, while the second group includes: Aden Unit, Al-Nasr, Al-Jalaa, and Hassan Abyan. Mixed with Al-Tali'ah and Al-Sharara in Hajj.
