The new roster of the Moroccan national football team, announced by coach Walid Regragui on Thursday, witnessed many changes, most notably the absence of Hakim Ziyech, the Turkish Galatasaray player.
The Moroccan national team is preparing to face Gabon in Franceville on November 15, and Lesotho on the 18th of the same month in the city of Oujda, east of the Kingdom, in the fifth and sixth rounds of the African Cup of Nations qualifiers scheduled to be held in Morocco.
The Moroccan Football Federation contented itself with announcing the list of 26 players without Walid Regragui holding a press conference as he was accustomed to, especially since the sports street expects to answer some questions regarding the continued absence of Hakim Ziyech despite his return from injury, according to what Agence France-Presse reported.
The list also included a new face, Ayoub El Khayati, the Royal Army goalkeeper, as the list included 4 goalkeepers for the first time.
The national team coach extended an invitation again to Yahya Attia Allah, the Egyptian Al-Ahly player, and Adam Massina, the Italian Torino defender. He also renewed confidence in Salah El-Din Chehab, the Moroccan goalkeeper of Fes, and Djamel Harkas, the Wydad defender, for the second time in a row.
