FIFA officially announced today, Monday, the date of the draw for the 2025 Club World Cup, which will be held in America with the participation of 32 teams.
FIFA said, in a statement on its official website: “The best clubs in the world will discover their competitors in the group stage, in the first edition of the Club World Cup, which includes 32 clubs, on Thursday, December 5, 2024, when the eyes of the football world turn to... To Miami, United States, to attend the tournament draw.”
The statement added: “The draw, which will be held in a live studio, will begin at 1:00 p.m. local time, and will be broadcast around the world via the official website.”
The Copa Libertadores final, between Atletico Mineiro and Botafogo of Brazil, scheduled in Buenos Aires, Argentina, on November 30, is expected to determine the last qualifier to the tournament.
FIFA recently revealed the 12 stadiums that will host the World Cup, and stated that American Inter Miami will qualify for the tournament as a representative of the host country, after its great glow in the record 2024 season.
