The Equatorial Guinea national team has become the ninth qualifier for the 2025 Africa Cup of Nations in Morocco, benefiting from Liberia's 1-0 victory over Togo in the fifth round of the Group E qualifiers.
Mohamed Sangari scored Liberia's winning goal in the 82nd minute from a penalty kick.
Equatorial Guinea is in second place with 7 points, 5 points behind leaders Algeria (12), who qualified since the last round.
While Liberia reached the fourth point in third place, the Togolese national team occupies the last fourth place with two points.
It is noteworthy that Equatorial Guinea defeated Liberia back and forth (2-1 and 1-0), ensuring its qualification for the finals for the fifth time after 2012, 2015, 2021 and 2023.
